You'll Love This Easy Creamy Coleslaw Recipe!

This coleslaw is, hands down, one of the easiest dishes you can make!

Creamy coleslaw dressing is a little sweeter than regular coleslaw and extra creamy (so delicious!). And naturally gluten- again dairy-free – makes it a great side dish for those with food allergies.

It goes well with many different dishes and makes a big bulk, so it's perfect for potlucks, picnics, summer cookouts, backyard BBQs, holiday parties, and more!

I have taken this creamy coleslaw to SO many events and it always gets rave reviews. My go-to recipe when I'm cooking for large parties and need an economical side dish to stretch the meal further (serves 30+ easily).

As an added bonus, it can be made a full day in advance as desired even better where he stays all night!

Creamy Coleslaw Dressing Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. white vinegar

  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 30 oz. mayonnaise (about 3.5-4 cups)
  • 4 bags (16 ounces each) coleslaw mix*

*NOTE: I like to use a coleslaw mix because it saves a lot of time, but you can totally make your own mix by grating your cabbage and carrots if you like. There are about 6 cups of shredded cabbage/carrots in each 16-ounce bag.

FAQs About Creamy Coleslaw Recipe

Do you need to use pre-made coleslaw mix?

No, although a prepackaged mix will save you a lot of chopping time, you may feel free to chop your cabbage and carrots until you have about 25 cups of shredded cabbage and carrots (combined).

How long will this coleslaw last in the refrigerator?

We recommend making this recipe a few hours before you plan to eat it (perhaps the night before) so the flavors have a chance to blend and meld. Once made, it should stay fresh for 72 hours (if refrigerated).
