Looking for book recommendations? Here are some of the auctioned books I've read and enjoyed:
- Sea Salt — I really liked this book. It was well written, very engaging, and I learned a lot about an event in history (which took place during World War II) that I had never heard of before. I also liked that it was the same story written in multiple ways… which made it really interesting.
- Remarkably Bright Creatures — This is a book with many different characters telling their story from their point of view and how they all come together in the end is beautiful and lovely. If you enjoy a fictional story told from different heights that covers a wide range of ages and interests, definitely check this book out!
- The book Woman of Troublesome Creek — This is a book I wouldn't have picked up on my own, but it came highly recommended by so many people that I decided to give it a try because it was free to listen to from Libby. I'm so glad I did because it's one of those books that will stay with you for a long time.
- Find Your People – This was one of my favorite readings of 2022! If you're longing for community, if you've been hurt by a relationship, or if you're feeling a little lonely where you are, Find Your People is a great read. I read it and followed his suggestions… and they worked! In fact, in just a few months, I had developed many new relationships and deepened the relationships I already had, and I felt more connected because of it.
- An Unforgettable Forgiveness – I recorded a podcast with Lisa in 2020 about this book, and I feel it's one of the most important podcasts I've ever done. And if your heart is hurting especially right now, I think his words will be oil for your wounded soul.
- Atomic Habits – This is, by far, my favorite book on habits. If you feel like you can't always follow through or just can't seem to stick to good habits, get a copy of this book. I listened to it about a year ago and loved it so much that I bought a hard copy and read it again this year. That tells you how valuable I found it! (I liked it so much that I chose it as one of my top 10 courses for 2020.)
