WTW has hired Gavin Hamilton (pictured) to serve as a director in the company's global real estate team in London.

Hamilton brings over three decades of experience in the insurance industry, having previously led the European and South African real estate markets at Miller Insurance Services. In his new role, Hamilton will report to International Property Head Edward Day.

“Gavin's extensive industry knowledge and experience will be invaluable to our talented and diverse team,” said Day. “His strong relationships with markets and customers will undoubtedly support the growth and success of the business, and we look forward to having him on board.”

Commenting on his appointment, Hamilton said: “I am delighted to be joining WTW and bringing my industry experience to the benefit of clients and markets. “WTW's unique industry-focused approach coupled with diverse and innovative talent was very attractive to join. I look forward to working with Ed and the team.”

Co-led by Anthony Rapa and Trenton McNee, the group's focus includes developing customized insurance solutions that address the diverse risks of fintech and digital assets and achieving advanced analytics to assist clients in navigating the complexities of these risks.

In addition, the task force will drive innovation by collaborating with business leaders, technology pioneers, venture capitalists, and regulatory authorities, to ensure that WTW insurance and risk management solutions evolve in line with new developments in financial technology.
