At least 2 dead after roof of Brazilian church collapses, authorities say

SAO PAULO (Reuters) – At least two people have died in Brazil after a church roof collapsed in the coastal city of Recife, city hall and state authorities said.

The deputy governor of Pernambuco, Priscila Krause, said that about 20 people received medical help after the fall, adding that the authorities do not believe that there are any other deaths.

However, they will investigate the debris, he said.

When it collapsed, this church was used to distribute food.
