Asda's campaign offers customers a simple and easy way to support their local primary schools.

It's almost like donating to charity, without spending more money (btw, we have lots of other ideas on how to donate to charity if you're skinny).

With your regular shopping at Asda, you can now help raise money for your chosen school.

How the campaign works

From now until 30 November 2024, Asda will donate 0.5% of the value of any shop to the primary school you choose through the Asda Rewards app.

It's a direct way to give back to your community.

However, you you must choose to log in manually through the application and choose which school you want to offer.

If you don't have a school in mind, they will still give you 0.5% of your store through Parentkind. Again, you will need to log in and select this as an option.

Each school starts with a £50 donation from Asda, and for every customer who chooses that school, £1 is added to their fund.

This step is expected to make a big difference. Asda plans that the campaign will raise around £7.5 million for primary schools in the UK.

That's money that can be used for much-needed services, improvements, and activities that can make a real difference in children's lives.

A unique way of giving back

This campaign stands out as the first of its kind in the loyalty market.

It's designed so you can support your chosen school without touching your Cashpot income, making it a win-win for everyone involved.

You continue to earn rewards while giving back to the community.

Asda Rewards

Asda Rewards, which launched in August 2022, has quickly become popular with more than six million weekly users.

Together, customers have won more than £525 million in Cashpots, which shows how much people like something back when they shop.

More ways to save with Asda Rewards

Asda offers several other rewards programs that can help families save even more.

For example, the Christmas Saver helps you save for the festive season, while the Asda Baby Club offers an extra 50p when you spend £5 on baby products.

Also, there is a 5% cashback for Blue Light Card holders, which now includes teachers.
