Ascot promotes Dalton as chief claims officer for the group

Specialty (re)insurance enterprise Ascot Group – which includes Ascot Underwriting (Ascot at Lloyd's), Ascot Bermuda, and Ascot US – has appointed Neil Dalton (pictured) as senior claims manager, a new position aimed at developing company application management. abilities.
In his new role, Dalton will be responsible for developing strategies that provide an “innovative and unique” claims experience to global clients, ensuring a simple and efficient claims process. Based in the London office, Dalton will report to Ascot group chief risk officer Mark Smith.

With over three decades of experience in claims management, Dalton's career includes leadership roles at Markel International and Lloyd's. He joined Ascot in 2007 as head of claims for AUL (Ascot Underwriting Limited). In addition to his new team-wide responsibilities, Dalton will continue to oversee AUL's claims operations.
Meanwhile, Ascot America's chief claims officer Marina Barg and Ascot Bermuda said chief Joy LaHuta will retain their arena-specific roles, reporting to their senior management. Both will also work with Dalton on broader application strategies at the team level.
