Lloyd's Council, which is responsible for the management and oversight of the Lloyd's market, has announced the unopposed election of Liberty Corporate Capital Limited as the external business member of the council.

The company will be represented on the governing body by Jane Warren, who begins her three-year term on February 1, 2025, following an open vacancy.

Warren holds an extensive leadership portfolio, serving as an active underwriter for Syndicate 4472 at Lloyd's, and a director of the board of Liberty Corporate Capital Limited.

He is also chief underwriter and board director at Liberty Managing Agency Limited, managing director of the UK legal practice of Liberty Specialty Markets, and UK branch manager of Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe.

Additionally, Warren is a member of other industry bodies, including Lloyd's Market Association, Lloyd's Sustainability Committee, and the London Market Group.

Commenting on the development, Lloyd's outgoing chairman Bruce Carnegie-Brown said: “Jane has seen the growth of our market over the past 30 years, having played a key role in underwriting, trading and serving the world's largest companies.

“He brings a wealth of experience from time spent in both the London and Bermuda markets and has helped lead and drive real and lasting cultural change through his high-profile sponsorship of Liberty's DEI (diversity, equality, and inclusion) initiatives.

From 1 May 2025, Lloyd's Council will be chaired by Sir Charles Roxburgh KCB.
