Tokyo Psychodemic delivers a 2D cinematic investigative experience, immersing players in a post-pandemic world dealing with supernatural situations. The game involves investigating unsolved cases using detective skills and teamwork, with many endings determined by the chosen methods of solving the cases.

The game has two main stages: situational assessment and evidence gathering. Exploring the scene offers detailed narratives and psychological depth to the characters, brought to life by live 2D animation and dynamic still images. Evidence collection focuses on analyzing crime scene data – including photos, videos, audio recordings, and text files – to uncover clues. Co-discovery develops the story, creating an engaging investigation.
