Allstate Helps Southern California Customers, Communities Recover From Wildfires

Allstate is here to help Southern California customers.

Customers can file their claim now: Allstate policyholders affected by the wildfires can file their claim through the Allstate® Mobile app, online, by calling 1-800-54-STORM, or their local agent.

Domestic claims: Customers can use their mobile devices or desktops to share photos or live video of home damage with the adjuster and help move their claim faster. If it is safe to do so, the adjusters will be back down ready for body inspection.

Default claims: Customers can quickly submit auto damage claims using QuickFoto Claim® using their smart device and the Allstate Mobile app. And if they want, they can connect with their repairman using Virtual Assist® to show and share a video of their damaged car to help move their claim faster.

Instant Payments: Once a claim is resolved, payments can be sent quickly to covered claims through a variety of channels, including digitally with QuickCard Pay, Fast Mobile ePayment or one of Allstate’s digital payment methods or through physical checks.

When nonprofits receive funding before a disaster, they are better equipped to provide both immediate and long-term relief to affected communities. The Allstate Foundation has pledged two donations totaling $750,000 to the American Red Cross and the Center for Disaster Philanthropy.strengthening the capacity of these organizations in supporting communities affected by disasters.

Steps You Can Take

  • Check to make sure everyone is safe. First and foremost, protect the safety of your loved ones, and let others know you are okay.
  • Do not enter your home unless you know it is safe. Ask fire officials before trying to get back into your home. Flare ups are possible. In your area, look for hot spots and smoking areas. Hot coals can hide in rain gutters, under decks, in crawl spaces, and in piles of wood/debris. If you are concerned that it may not be safe, do not enter.
  • Start the claims process as soon as possible. Allstate customers can file their claim online, using the Allstate® mobile app, calling 1-800-54-STORM, or by visiting any Allstate agent. Customers can also use MyClaim to update their contact and payment information for faster transactions.
  • Document damage. Separate damaged and undamaged items. If it is not safe to keep the damaged items, have your claims team take pictures or videos and dispose of them properly.
  • Make a temporary fix. If necessary, hire a professional contractor to make temporary repairs to prevent further damage. Keep all receipts and give them to your claims team. Take pictures before any repairs are made.
