Russia says five killed, 46 injured in Ukraine strike in Belgorod By Reuters
MOSCOW (Reuters) – Five people were killed and 46 injured in a Ukrainian attack in the southwestern Russian city of Belgorod on Friday, the local governor said.
Vyacheslav Gladkov also said that 37 people, including seven children, were taken to the hospital.
A video from the car's dashboard, which was posted on social media and shows the attack, shows another car being blown up while driving on the road. Seconds later, an explosion is seen on the other side of the road.
Ukraine has repeatedly attacked Belgorod and other Russian border regions in recent months.
Ukraine and Russia say they did not intentionally target civilians in the war that began when Russia sent thousands of troops to its tiny neighbor in February 2022. Moscow called the attack a “special military operation”.
