What are £9.50 Sun holidays?

£9.50 Sun Holidays have been a staple for hundreds of thousands of UK residents for decades. Holiday Codes offer families the best chance to enjoy a holiday across Europe and the UK.

All you need to do is collect the daily codes from The Sun Newspaper, and you will be free to book your holiday.

There are options for the whole family, whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation. But we'll get into the options soon.

Solar Holiday Codes for August and September 2024

Sun holiday codes are back for August and September 2024.

Check below soon to collect the codes when they go live.

In previous seasons, you needed to collect up to 10 codes. They made it even easier this time.

You only need to collect two code words: either get Sun Savers codes or collect tokens in the papers from Saturday, 31 August 2024.

How do the £9.50 sun holiday codes work?

So, how does one spend a £9.50 holiday?

• Collect the two code words printed in The Sun Newspaper.
• Each day has a different code, so be sure to match. It starts on August 31st, and tokens/codes are printed until September 6th, 2024.
• The codeword is four letters and is located on the bottom side of the numbered token.
• The booking form opens on Sunday, 1 2024.
• You need to book before Sunday, 11 August 2024.

You can submit your code words in several ways:

• Online: Save Sun Holiday Codes and complete the application to choose your holiday Sun website. There is a £3 booking fee when using online.
• By post: Cut out the code name and send them all together with the booking form that comes on paper. You can also find an online booking form at https://www.club950.co.uk/. Send it to: UK Holidays in the Sun, PO Box 1811, Colchester, CO2 8LF.

Once you have all your Sun Holiday codes, you can start looking at different accommodation options. You can choose four different holiday parks and four days that suit you best.

Once bookings are open, make sure you book your holiday soon as they get booked up very quickly, especially for £9.50 and £19.50 breaks and school holidays.

You can book your vacation immediately after entering all the codes, but we recommend that you look at the accommodations to see what will work best for you. Reviews on travel websites can help you here.

Then you pay for your holiday. But be sure before making the payment because you cannot get a refund once you have booked.

If you want to use the Sun Savers app, there are separate eight-digit codes (not the ones listed above). These codes are unique to the papers, so you will need to buy paper every day.

How much are The Sun Saver holiday codes?

Let's look at the different price points:

• Comfort — £9.50pp (£38 minimum charge)
• Comfort Plus — £16.50pp (£66 minimum payment)
• Comfort Extra Wide — £22.50pp (£90 minimum payment)
• Premier Plus — £35.50pp (£142 minimum payment)

Types of accommodation

Comfort

The Comfort caravan is 10ft wide and very comfortable. These may differ from other parks and come as an apartment, lodge, chalet, cottage, or bungalow.

You have the option to add bed linen at an additional cost.

Comfort plus caravans

These are very similar to the above; they simply have the added feature of multi-room heating and bed linen.

Comfort spacious caravans

These caravans are modern and spacious. They are 12ft wide and come with two or three bedrooms.

It is ideal for up to eight people and offers a modern interior with high quality furnishings.

You can rent bed linen that can be made for you upon arrival.

Premier and caravans

These are the best accommodation available for Solar Holidays and are only available at certain parks.

You can enjoy a spacious 12ft caravan with amazing furniture, double glazing, and central heating.

You can sleep up to eight people in two or three bedrooms.

The caravans are dog friendly

Some parks are pet-friendly, perfect for those who want to take their pups on vacation.

You can bring two dogs but make sure you check the terms and conditions. Some breeds are not allowed, and some parks are not dog-friendly.

You can no longer book a Haven holiday with the Sun deal, but there are plenty of other options.

Tips for your Sun Vacation

Vacation insurance

It is important to remember that the unexpected can happen. Therefore, getting vacation insurance is important to cover you in any situation.

Thanks, your £9.50 Sun holiday insurance is a single £10 cost to cover everyone on your UK trip.

If you're traveling in Europe, £29.50 will cover it.

Sun recommends that you obtain insurance with at least:

• £1 million in medical expenses.
• £2,000 cancellation fee.
• £1,500 baggage and cash cover.

Basic insurance will cover everything you and your travel mates may need throughout your holiday.

You can look into getting a quote from another provider, in case you get better coverage levels and a cheaper price.

We know it may seem like a waste of money, but trust us, if you ever find yourself at an unfortunate event, you want to know you're covered.

A small problem can be a real headache that you don't have to deal with while on vacation. Therefore, we recommend leaving it to the professionals.

Entertainment

Some holiday parks have entertainment programs and may charge a pass.

It's entirely up to you whether you take the entertainment passes, but it's worth it to make the most of your vacation.

You will receive an invoice for your entertainment passes directly from the accommodation, which you will pay once you have received your package confirmation.

Occasionally these passes are free, but usually, the fee varies between £3 – £10. However, you should note that these passes do not include free entertainment and activities such as rock climbing and fishing.

Additional fees

Some accommodations charge a damage and cleaning fee when you book using your Sun Saver Codes that you will have to pay for. But this is refundable if everything goes well at checkout.

Some holiday parks provide food and drink at an additional cost, but you can pay for that directly on site.

How to apply for Solar Holidays?

Once you have all the codes, you can fill out the application and submit your codes. The application can be found on the Sun Holidays website. You can also send to your application ten codes, but you will need to cut them. There is also a Sun Savers App where you can scan ten Sun Savers codes.

Are Sun Holidays really £9.50pp?

Yes! Believe it or not. This tradition remains at this very low price to keep families coming together to enjoy unforgettable holidays across the UK and Europe. But there are other more expensive options if you want to upgrade or add any extras.

Should I take four people?

That's not the case. You can take as many people as you want, but all prices are based on four people as a minimum price.

Can I choose my dates?

All holiday packages are for three or four nights and run from Monday – Friday. But if you want to take a longer break, you can book more Sun Holidays. But your best bet is to call the accommodation directly and see if you can arrange something within days.
