EU to send 160 million euros from frozen Russian goods to Ukraine By Reuters

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – A total of 160 million euros of frozen Russian goods will be allocated to meet Ukraine's emergency needs this winter, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Thursday.

He added that a gas plant is being demolished in Lithuania and will be rebuilt in Ukraine, where 80% of the country's thermal plants have been destroyed.

“We aim to restore a capacity of 3.5 gw, which is 15% of Ukraine's needs,” said Von der Leyen.
