Beijing – US arms sales to Taiwan have seriously violated the “One China Policy” and the provisions of joint negotiations between China and the US, Zhang Xiaogang, spokesman for China's Ministry of Defense, said on Friday.
China has made strong representations to the US side on the issue, Zhang said.
China on Wednesday announced measures against nine firms linked to the US military for selling US weapons to Taiwan.
